The sliding sinker on a standard Texas Rig comes through cover fine, but can interfere with your sense of feel when the sinker and lure don't go to the same place, especially in heavy cover. Anglers have devised work arounds, but "pegging" the sinker to the line with a toothpick can damage the line, and weights that "screw-in" to the lure are not only difficult to rig, they don't disengage from the lure while fighting a fish, which defeats the slip sinker's primary advantage.

Just slide the cone shaped LunkerGrip Sinker down the line, push the gripper into the nose of the lure, and it's pegged to the lure, yet on a hookup, it will disengage and slides freely on the line. Special hard alloy for increased vibration signals from contact with bottom and cover. Smooth inner surface won't abrade line.
| LunkerGrip Sinkers feature a narrow gripper to minimize distortion of thin bodied baits like Rascal Worms and 7" Slug-GoSS®. | |||||||||||
